How my journey at Frisco became memorable

Traveling is most certainly one of the best activities for both the soul and the body. You get the chance to discover different cultures and experience uncommon realities, rest your brain and revive your soul.

Frisco, Colorado. It is a small town located about 60 miles away from the state capital, Denver and is mainly known for its closeness to numerous ski resorts such as Keystone, Copper, Breckenridge, etc. There are also many mountains and lakes around the town giving you the opportunity to participate in certain activities like skying, zip lining, paddling, and many more, all depending on the season.

The two places I’ve stayed so far are the Keystone Mountain Resort and the Ramada hotel. The first one, while on renovation at the time (May 2018), was equipped with both a personal bathroom (with tub), a full kitchen, a living room and a balcony. The view was just incredible. I booked the place on booking.com for about 80$/night and spent three nights there. I will definitely be going there again. It is the perfect place for a small retreat.

The second place was a regular bedroom with bathroom. While it doesn’t come with a kitchen, breakfast is provided every morning from 6 to 10 am. Also, the place is located in town which makes it easier to access local restaurants and grocery stores. It will only take you 1 min to walk to the closest KFC and about 5 min to get to the grocery store. Unlike the previous residence, there is also room service every morning, which is a nice bonus. This place too, was booked on booking.com for a price of about 70$/night.

My breakfast at Ramada hotel

Alright ! Time to get to the fun part.

During my stay at Frisco, I’ve participated in two memorable activities: boat driving and mountain climbing!

After a good night of sleep and a delicious breakfast, I left my hotel (Ramada) at 12:45 and got to Frisco Marina Bay less than 5 minutes later (by car). There, my friend and I reserved a power boat (fishing boat as we were just two) for 70$/ 2 hours.

The boat is very easy to drive and the lake is wide enough for numerous boats so don’t worry too much about traffic. Just be careful and enjoy your time; I certainly did!

Once we were done with it, we went to a Mexican restaurant nearby called Hacienda Real. The place was both simple and nice with a good customer service. Again, some pictures :

It’s then with a full tummy that we returned to our hotel for a long night of sleep.

The following day, which was out last at Frisco, we decided to check the mountains on our way home. It took us about 25 min to reach the mountains located at Loveland Pass.

The temperature was around 70° which was perfect for me as the wind was blowing a bit more after each step toward the tip of the mountain. To be honest, I was actually pretty scared while climbing it but once I got on the top, man I felt like I owned the place! Just take a look at the view:

We overall spent less than an hour at the mountains which was enough time for us to take pictures, catch our breath (due to the lower air pressure) and even dance!
