How Many Years Do You Spend Working In Your Lifetime?

The number might surprise you

How many years do you spend working throughout the course of your life? It is probably more than you think.

After all, if you spend most of your waking hours from 9–5, Monday through to Friday, it might be worthwhile considering just how much of your life is dedicated to working.

In contrast, people only spend 368 days socializing with friends, on average, over the course of a lifetime.

If we spend that amount of time of our life at work it would only make sense to:

Work is necessary for us to survive and live. Think about this, go back 10,000 years ago, people were in caves but they were still providing value to their families, their communities, and the people around them. If you went into a forest one day and sat on a rock and just did nothing, you wouldn't survive very long would you?

You would need to collect wood and find food and shelter to survive.

Similarly, fast forward to the present day we have jobs like plumbers, doctors, carpenters, etc.

For many of us, even if we hate our jobs I think we can all agree life would be pretty boring if we just stayed at home and did nothing.
