A Phone Booth

It seems like asking someone to exchange numbers is a reasonable and relatable question considering the vast majority of people carry mobile devices everywhere they go. The odd one out does not for their own reasons. Is that why one can find a phone booth in our cities or perhaps in the Mojave Desert? If you share a similar mindset as me, you are most likely passionate about the continuing existence of older technology. I am sure that your one friend that still has a Nintendo 64 shares this same passion as well. Now to this day there are still people that do not have their own mobile devices, luckily for them many places in our world still have an odd phone booth. Although difficult to locate, phone booths are old technology, an old solution to connecting one another. Next time you are driving past a gas station or on a commercial street, keep your eyes open for a phone booth. Usually, older technology becomes extinct due to its lack of need. Whether that be a more technologically advanced solution, or a disappearing need such as that of a phone booth, these objects still exist because there are still people in our world that do not include smartphones in their lifestyles. These booths exist to connect us, whether that be for someone who needs to make a call because they do not own a mobile device, or for the rest of us, who may need to connect ourselves with someone else, but our technologically advanced solutions such as that of a smartphone disconnect us, a dead battery or whatever it may be. A phone booth can be more of a saviour than a solution.
