How I went from Stoic Philosophy, Zen and then Roman Catholic

Entrepreneurship can be a rollercoaster ride of highs and lows. It requires a great deal of determination, resilience, and a strong mindset. As an entrepreneur, I have experienced many challenges, and each one has taught me valuable lessons.

Early on in my entrepreneurial journey, I was drawn to Stoic thinking. Zen teaches us to let go of attachments and focus on the present moment, which is especially important in entrepreneurship, where it’s easy to get caught up in the future and forget about the present.

However, as I continued on my journey, I realized that while Stoicism and Zen had taught me valuable lessons, they weren’t enough to satisfy my spiritual needs. As a result, I turned to my Catholic faith, which had been a part of my life since childhood.

The Catholic faith provides a strong foundation for a meaningful life. It teaches us about the importance of service, sacrifice, and love for others. It also gives us a sense of purpose and helps us understand our place in the world. As an entrepreneur, I found that these values aligned with my goals and helped me become a better leader.

One of the most significant ways that my faith has influenced my entrepreneurship is through the concept of stewardship. Stewardship is the idea that we are entrusted with resources, and it’s our responsibility to use them wisely for the benefit of others. As an entrepreneur, I believe that I have a responsibility to use my business for good and make a positive impact on society.
