Construction in New York

With regards to floor space, there will be an increase of 39 million square feet by the end of 2018, in the non-residential building sector and this is a new record for NYC. In 2019 and 2020, the growth will continue to increase and with the addition of 30.4 million and 23.4 million square feet, respectively.

There was an increase in public sector construction from $14.8 billion in 2017 to $19.5 billion in 2018 and this represents a leap of almost 32 %. The investments of the public sector are mentioned below:

There will be an increase in construction investments in the public sector by the year 2019 and 2020, reaching up to $23 billion and $24 billion respectively.
