Facing the Dragon of Comfort Zone

Hello once again! It’s been a while but I’m back and I’ve got some good news on my progress for my project.

To start, this week I have made some pretty big strides. Other than the fact that I held another session, I have also added three more members to my group. This is great as many of them are new to the game, which means they are experiencing something new and I am able to make myself a better teacher. As for the session, the adventure began when our heroes received a letter from the King of Frostmoor requesting their assistance in killing the horrible dragon Abraxas who has been threatening to destroy the kingdom. Oh, and lastly, for this months activity we all just relaxed and made food together for the session. (For those who are wondering it was guacamole.)

As of right now, I’m working on the next session, in which the heroes must fix an evil curse that has been placed upon the small town of Cherrywood, before they fall to the dark magic of course. On top of this I’m am planning a small Christmas celebration for the group on Christmas day, or some time around it. During this little party I’m planning on making some Dungeons and Dragons themed food, having a Christmas themed adventure, and also having a white elephant gift exchange with everybody. Other than this I’m also trying to get better supplies for everyone and myself in order to make things just a bit more convenient. And lastly, I want to try and get at least one or two more people to join the group.

And as of next week, there won’t be much to do except plan. I do want to try and get together with my friends and decide on everything, but other than that there isn’t much to do. The one main thing other than the session is that I am trying to make a more thematic space for our adventures. What I mean by this is I want to make decorations and other little things that will just set the mood and make everything a little cooler. I also am planning on seeing if someone would like to try being an “apprentice dungeon master” in a sense, just so we can have someone else try it out for themselves.
